 THE FINAL COMMON PATH

Having looked at a reflex and excitation-contraction coupling in a muscle, you may have realized that all neuronal activity in the CNS that affects the muscle contraction can do so only through the motor neu-rons supplying the extrafusal muscles. Hence, these neurons are referred to as the final common path.
